WACC draws together researchers, practitioners, and thought leaders from government, industry, and academia. The workshop provides a forum of dialogue centered upon the development and advancement of an effort to design, implement, and evaluate dependable cloud architectures that can provide assurances with respect to security, reliability, and timeliness of computations (or services). Some new “assured” target applications include, but are not limited to, dependable Big Data applications and streaming, data analytics and its tools, real-time computations for monitoring, control of cyber-physical systems such as power systems, and mission critical computations for rescue and recovery.
The technical emphasis of WACC is design, implementation, and evaluation of cloud services, data analytics tools, and security solutions to enable dependable Big Data applications. Research on cloud services, ICT-skilled data scientists and application developers can find complementary solutions and partnerships to evaluate and integrate additional solutions. Data scientists can find new tools that could address existing needs.


Submissions are solicited for the 1 day International Workshop on Assured Cloud Computing and QoS aware Big Data (WACC 2017), which will be held in conjunction with the 17th IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud and Grid Computing in Madrid, Spain. The workshop will include a mix invited talks, refereed papers, and panels. Papers will appear in the workshop proceedings to be published by the IEEE and CCGrid.

We invite submissions on any topic related to cloud computing that aligns with the workshop goals listed above.

Submission Requirements

Submission deadline. Submissions of full papers must be made by the deadline, Sunday, January 15, 2017 (anywhere on Earth) through EasyChair by SELECTTING THE TRACK International Workshop on Assured Cloud Computing and QoS Aware Big Data in the submission link:
Submission format. Authors are invited to submit papers electronically in PDF format. Submitted manuscripts should be structured as technical papers and may not exceed 10 letter-sized (8.5 X 11) pages including all figures, tables and references using the IEEE format for conference proceedings. See formatting templates for details (LaTex Package ZIP, Word Template DOC, and PDF).
Submissions not conforming to these guidelines may be returned without review. The official language of the workshop is English. All manuscripts will be reviewed and judged on technical strength, originality, significance, quality of presentation, and relevance to the workshop attendees.
Information for authors. Submission of the paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must register and present the paper at the workshop.
Simultaneity. Submissions must not have been published previously, and may not be submitted in parallel to any other journal or conference/workshop with published proceedings. The program chairs reserve the right to consult confidentially with other chairs and responsible parties if a double submission is suspected.
